Chapter 1.- A strange arrives in Granada

Read the chapter and study the new vocabulary.  Then try to write 5 sentences using the first conditional. Remember you need present in the first and future in the second.

Let's write an example:

If Ibrahim advises the king, he will know when the enemies come.

Chapter 6.- A surprised ending

If you finished the story, you should write your final task. There  are three parts:

1.-  Choose one of these tasks below:

• Write a different ending
• Try a solution for the soldier to leave the vault taking his part of the treasure 

2.- Write your opinion concerning the story.

3.- Do you celebrate St. John's Eve?

Chapter 4: How to break the spell

How to break the spell? What is the key? What do they need?

Imagine you are one of the characters: the enchanted soldier or Don Vincent. Write a dialogue where you tell how are you going to break the spell and 

how do you feel. Try to be creative and list as many adjecticves as you can
to express your feelings.

Chapter 3 by Ivan & Manuel

Hi,  guys!, this is Ivan & Manuel´s task:

Read chapter 3 again, focus on the plot, characters, where, when, how, ...... etc.  and make a Ppt presentation. When you finish, send it to the teacher.

Task 5.- Chapter 1:

You can choose one of these tasks:
1.- Write one or two sentences to summarize each paragraph.
2.- Imagine you were a character in the story. Write about:

• who were you?
• where were you?
• what were you doing?
• who were you talking to?
• what were you saying?
• ..........

Task 4.- Revision chapters 1, 2, 3

Download the PPT and order the pictures. Fill in the bubbles: what are people saying at the moment?. Then write the narrator comments and save the ppt. Feel free to change the style and be creative. When finish, send the file to the teacher. 

Chapter 3.- Peregil finds the treasure

Before reading chapter 3, correct the false sentences:

• Water carriers took water from the well of the Alhambra.
• Peregil´s wife carried his water jars.
• It was dangerous for Peregil to help the ill man.
• The barber saw a robbery at Peregil´s house.
• According to the Mayor, Peregil and his wife weren´t inocent.
• Peregil wanted to take the Muslim shop owner to the tower.

Then, do the task related to chapter 3: writing a report (75-100 words). Write a draft in your notebook. Check it and see if you answered these questions:

• who?
• when?
• where?
• what happened?
• why?

When verified, send your writing as a comment.

2.- The Moor´s legacy

Write a summary of chapter one. You must include the new vocabulary: 

well, water carriers, jars, hill, angry, lazy, alone, reward, frightened, Muslim, ....
